Received a Legacy GP35 last week from Nassau and tried to set up this AM. Can't get the engine memory module to program. It feels to me as if is not making proper contact and is not going all the way into the Cab-2 controller.
We are new to command control. Is this a known problem or am I doing something wrong? Inserting a module seems pretty basic to me.
Thought we would ask here before we call Charlie or Lionel.

Sometimes the memory modules are a tight fit. Look at the connector and make sure no pins are bent inside the connector. You may have to press a little harder to seat it if all is well otherwise.
I have run into two that have done what he states. A call to Lionel customer service will get one headed to him the same day.

you do not need the module to operate your train. the module only gives you an easy way to put the engine name into the cab2 base (nothing is in the handheld).
just put the info in manually.
