Engine Sound

Don't know if this has been discussed before. On two different layouts and different engines , one PS-2 and one PS-3 at speeds over about 40 MPH the sound drops out after about a minute or less run time and if I slow the engine down the sound comes back.. Is there a setting that controls this?

John. Clickity-clack was on so I found out that with it off the sound stays on. Thanks.
