Having a few days off for the Holiday gave me some time to dig out some engines that have been stored for quite a while. My last "real" layout (16X30) was taken down in 1985 when we moved and it has been floor running ever since.
Most of these have been sitting in their boxes since 85 with exception of the 736 which has seen years of floor running.

I notice that you have 5 MPC-era steamers; all very nice. Here's a good guide from Trainz to this era's locomotives:
https://www.trainz.com/pages/t...-large-steam-engines
I've got four MPC steamers total, the Blue Comet and Joshua Lionel Cowen Hudsons and two FARR#5 PRR Turbines. With all of these, I've had to go into the tenders and replace the degraded polyurethane foam pad for the sound circuit board to avoid its shorting against the steel tender base. I would recommend checking the condition of the pads in your tenders before running the locos that have been idle. I replaced the degraded pads in my tenders with adhesive-backed 1/8" thick pressed-felt pads as shown in my JLC Hudson tender below:
I vacuumed away as much of the old pad crumbs as possible and then removed the residual "gunk" with 100% acetone nail polish remover. It's a rather messy process, but worth it as the felt will last "forever." Your PW Berk(?) is nice, too. Does it have a whistling tender? I've got a little PW Adriatic that does and I just LOVE it!
