Has anyone added an ERR Cc Commander (or appropriate tmcc upgrade if thats the wrong one) to the Lionel Conventional Class VGN Rectifier (or any other CC loco with Pullmore motor)?
How satisfied were you with the result and operation after?

The ERR AC Commander is appropriate for Lionel locos with Pullmore motors. In past years i've done dozens of them in Lionel diesels and steam engines as well. The ERR Cruise Commander will not work in Pullmore (open frame universal) motors as the CCand CC Lite are only for DC can motors. The AC Commander is an easy DIY install and gives good results.
I used the AC Commander in this build, it was far superior to the original LCRU2 that I removed. I have much better low speed performance. I'm sure a big part was the dual motors, but the AC Commander 100 speed step capability also plays a significant part.
With that being said, there's nothing like the can motors with the Cruise Commander.
