Worked fine with the older format which was this. source>gen tab for
preview>insert Windows 7 and Firefox.

I don't know what that code is supposed to be, but it's not a YouTube embed code.

The YouTube Iframe embed code works just as it did before. I've used it several times since this update went on line.

When you are on Youtube, do this:

  • Click the SHARE button
  • Click EMBED
  • Click on Show More
  • UNCLICK the "Show suggested videos when the video finishes" button
  • Copy the iframe embed code
  • Come back here to your post
  • Position the cursor where you want your video to go.
  • Click on the "Insert/Edit Video Icon"
(Just left of the smiley face in the tool bar at the top of the posting window.)
  • Click on the EMBED Tab
  • Paste the embed code from Youtube there
  • Click OK
  • DONE.

This is the result...

There is no youtube url - this is all there is:

www.youtube.com/embed

You don't need to used embed codes from youtube, simply copy the url of the video and paste it in the default field("General" tab, "source" field) when you click the "insert/edit video" icon. The Hoopla software inserts its own embed code for display on the page.

Willygee, the code entered in your post is just this: www.youtube.com/embed/W. This is not a valid URL for anything on YouTube. That's why the screen is blank. I'm not sure where you are getting that code, but that URL will never work.

If you simply cut and paste the YouTube URL into the video box here as ACDX ROB has suggested, it will work. However, you don't have the option of turning off the Suggested Video list which comes up after the selected video is over. Typically that list will have videos shown in it that have nothing to do with the original video link. I personally find that very annoying and always shut it off.

Here's the same video that I embedded above, but instead of embedding it, I just pasted the URL into this post. Watch what happens when it finishes. A bunch of other video "recommendations" come up. I don't like that...

If you are trying to display your video within your post....there is an easy way to do so with very few steps:

1. Select a properly downloaded video on YouTube

2. Put your cursor over the selected video and right click it

3. Left click "Copy video URL"

4. Go to your post that you are creating on the OGR forum and right click within the area of the post you want the video to appear

5. Left click on "paste"....your video is ready to view for all to see!
