ever see a post (pic of tunnel entrance) and then can't find it?

Some time in the last week I was looking at other's posts. I saw a pic posted of a tunnel entrance and I said to myself "as I complete my mountain, I want the entrance to look just like that!"

The pic had some great work that made it look very realistic to me. I should have saved that pic but I thought the idea had sank in enough for me to go forward. So today I'm working on my mountain ends and I need that pic. I looked at everything I clicked "like" on and most other posts that I came across.

No pic! Rats. If I ever see a pic like that where I think I'm going to copy the idea, I'd better save it!

I come across many things I can't find.  Even things that are right in front of me seem to be saying, "Look at that idiot".....LOL

This is the land of disappearing post. Its like mission impossible, these postings will self destruct. Once the cleaning crew comes thru, all bets are off on whether youll see it again

I looked at everything I thought where it might be. I was only hoping some member might repost it here. I just can't find it. I spent a long time looking yesterday at everything again. It just may have been removed? So I just moved forward with the memory of what I saw.

Thanks for all the tips though. It should help me in the future!

Try not to laugh, but I started closing it up and capturing what I wanted. It didn't turn out that way yet!

Someday before I'm gone, I hope to learn how to capture what's in my mind, on my layout. It may take another lifetime to do it.

Laugh? No way! You're starting a trend with Graffiti on the mountain side Joe, ours are plain pink

Joe,

Why not just print a picture when you see a scene you really like?

If it's an image, just save it to your PC's hard drive or put it on disc. It will save you a bunch of paper and will be way easier to find (if you make a little log of the names which is one piece of paper vs. many).

Maybe the place to start is the Scenery Forum. I did a search in the post below and get a bunch of hits. You don't necessarily need to have a mountain, it could be a LARGE hill which might fit better with the rest of your topography.. It would still be the same techniques.
