My question is, "Are there any plans to extend the F subway line under Hillside Ave to the county line?"

From 1960 to 1963 I rode the F / E & D trains to go from 179th Street in Jamaica to Tillary Street in Brooklyn where I went to college. I still remember the the time I fell asleep on an F Train and wound up going to the 184th Street end-of-line on Hillside Avenue. This awakens a wish I once had that the F Train would continue under Hillside Avenue to Cherry Lane at the Nassau-Queens border. Such an extension would eliminate the crowded bus ride from the county line to 179th Street that took about an hour in good weather, and a lot more in the snow.

I worked at 14th St and some times I would ride down town to West 4th St so I could get a seat on the E Train to 179th St...I spent many hours in the tunnel waiting to come back out to 179th St. after I fell asleep on the way home on a late night of work. A train to Braddock Ave would have been Great. I think Hillside Ave was wider at Braddock Ave to accommodate a station there.
