What gauge wire is used on fast track remote switches?

It looks like 24 gauge solid wire to me. Bought the package shown in the photo from Lowe’s. Has same 4 wire colors as Fastrack. Side by side looks and feel is the same. 
Can’t show comparison photo because I’m still on a business trip until next weekend.

24ga phone cable is the same as the Fastrack wire.
If you are looking to replace the remote switch wire with a longer wire, 4-colour phone cable is perfect. The phone cable I use is 22ga (I think). Has the same Red, Black, Green and Yellow colours as the lionel fastrack switch controller. You can purchase from many places. I purchased mine from an electrical supply store, where the sell it in 1000ft boxes. The 1000ft box was only a little more expensive than purchasing a few 100ft lengths.
