I have a fastrack aggravation.  I personally only have experience with Postwar and tube track, but I own some fastrack and use it in a conventional way from a transformer.   I purchased a Lionel set for my little grandson at last Christmas.  The Lionel Lines Set and it includes a operating ore dump car, which dumps in a  traditional way by having a RC track pull the magnet down and the ore car side dumps.

So first I find out that the set contains no RC track section.  I think. What the heck is that all about but Without thinking too much, I go out and purchase one for him.  Now I realize that there is no “neutral” on the controller, so how does a person actually put the car on the track and stop it so the button can be pushed to energize the magnet to operate the dump car.  Well that cannot happen.  I read the instructions for the fastrack RC TRACK and it say to operate the controller at 10-12 volts to operate.

My question. What am I missing here?
