I am having a problem direct wiring my Fastrack switches for constant power. The Lionel video makes it look so easy. Take out the track jumper and insert wire to Aux In. I have removed the track jumper and am trying to insert the wire in the Aux In. I cannot get the wire to go in. I am using 18 gauge wire. It seems when I loosen the screw at Aux In it does not open up the hole under the copper piece to allow the wire to be inserted. What am I doing wrong? Am I using the wrong gauge wire?
