Good luck with it. I have had 2 of these & found that running on 072 is not feasible. Cars kept coming apart on curves .
Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to getting mine soon. Keep us posted on how you’re enjoying it.
Very cool present! The start up sounds alone are awesome! Enjoy it!!
Very nice. Thank you.

The steel frame part that joins the cars must have been bent slightly out of shape.
I have Atlas O 72" curved track and have run the TurboTrain well after bending the connection points that are part of the steel frame carefully into the right position.
The cars then stayed together.
The TurboTrain that I have runs smoothly. It is slower than the GP9s that I have.

Years ago Marty Fitzhenry found that solution & I tried it. The problem seemed to be those plastic rods on the side of the cars that connect each car kept pulling out causing the cars to derail.
Congratulations! That’s a mighty fine looking set. Real pretty! I’d be remiss if I didn’t say that I am jealous.
With that said, I was fortunate, as well, as my wife and daughter purchased the great Nicholas Smith custom run of Amtrak Acela Regional (Capstone Project) Amfleet cars.
I hope you enjoy yours as much as I will!
thanks,
-Mario
