Today, I was going thru some things and found that I had an used BCR1. I had not run any of my PS1 engines in a long time. So, I decided to install the BCR1 in my MTH Crusader that I I had not run in probably 10 years. After the installation, I put it on the tack and powered it up for about 2 minutes.

I then started running it and she ran great. I always thought the whistle was awesome and it was! After making a few laps I realized one of the traction tires was off and around the linkage, so I I pulled of the track, and just decided to replace both of them.

I put it back on the track and fired it up. However, when I went to put in forward, I got the two bells.I think it is in neutral lockout. When I looked this up on the forum, the consensus was.do not use a CW80 or the Z1000. Now why would MTH make a transformer that would not run their own engines. Now i have to dig thru my totes and boxes to see if I have an older Lionel Transformer that I can use to reset the factory settings. I do not want a Z4000. Also not sure why the BCR did not retain the voltage after just being run?
