It reminds me of my first layout on a 4 X 8 sheet of Beaverboard right on the basement floor.  That would have been around 1947 or 48.   My uncle Lou came up from Long Beach, Calif after being bombed out in Pearl Harbor in 1941.  He bought me an O Gauge set at the Lionel Dealer, Couves Radio in Edmonton, Ab  It had an atomic motored 726.  I can't remember what else came with it though.

If you use M&Ms, I just may come up to help eat them, before they make it into the cars.

I tried various candies, including M&Ms, settling on Nerds because it was the only one that was properly sized so that it worked well on the conveyor.
