I have a Railking 30-1565-1 that has a bad bulb for the firebox glow. It is the bulb because if i plug the cab interior light in to the firebox glow socket the light come on. So where can I get a bulb? I have a few led bulbs that are the same size but the appear to have a resistor or diode (I don't know much about electronics)under the shrink wrap in the positive side (red wire). They were bought for headlights on an N scale layout but not used. Will they work or can someone point me towards the correct led bulb?

Thanks, Terry

PS3 engines like yours only use LEDs and they do not have resistors.

Sorry, the MTH Parts website does not make linking a direct URL shortcut to a part- hence why I'm giving you the path so you can find this part and anything else you might need.

First you go to MTH Parts and Sales https://www.mthpartsandsales.com

You click on this Exploded View Part List search.

Search entering your product number

Which brings you here https://www.mthpartsandsales.c...lists/183?type=lists

#14 is the single LED with plug

Following down to #14 in the list

You could go to "shop" and search the part number.

Again, PS3 just uses LEDS without any resistor in the wiring harness. That said, a bit of caution, ensure no wire ever shorts to frame or anything else as that could destroy your PS3 electronics faster than you can blink. This is why buying an official part with the correct plug, VS soldering your own, heatshrink and so forth.

Technically, you could use any white LED (they use a RED color filter on the window of the firebox and a white LED).
