Again, PS3 just uses LEDS without any resistor in the wiring harness. That said, a bit of caution, ensure no wire ever shorts to frame or anything else as that could destroy your PS3 electronics faster than you can blink. This is why buying an official part with the correct plug, VS soldering your own, heatshrink and so forth.

Technically, you could use any white LED (they use a RED color filter on the window of the firebox and a white LED).

Thank you Vernon that is exactly the bulb that I need. When I looked at the MTH site all I could find was screw in type or those with plugs directly part of the bulb. Thank you for the directions on how to navigate their site.

When MTH got those leds in bulk the polarity of the red and black wires was wrong, if the wires going into the plug were reversed it would probably light.
