This is one of those times that it is pretty clear that this site is aimed at operators.  Don't have a layout.  Don't really have time to build one.  I have always liked trains so I have a bunch. Don't have one room, have five and need a couple more.

The big room is too much for most people to take in so they rarely make it to the next room.  A few have made it to the fifth but by then their eyes glaze over.  Something over 1900 feet of shelving.  Need another 5-600 feet.

OMG!!!   You would have to evict me from your place.  I'd thought I'd died and gone to Heaven!

Thanks for sharing, Bill - WOW!

It is clear that one does not need a layout to have a "Train Room".

Wow!  That's a collection.  Thanks for sharing.  NH Joe

Since my train room isn't anything to look at, I thought that I will show what a person will see when they step into my club's G&O garden railroad.  NH Joe

The first thing you will see is the rugged Norris Falls.  Norris Falls depicts a typical CA gold mining camp high in the Sierra mountains.  The falls are named for Nancy Norris who designed and built the falls.  Note with wild life.

You may get lucky and see a train crossing the O gauge the Norris Falls bridge.

Moving farther into the display, you will see CA fire fighters fighting one of the state's too frequent forest fires.

What CA display could be without the Golden Gate bridge?  This train is crossing an arch bridge that represents the Bixby bridge on Big Sur south of Monterey.  Nearly everyone has seen the Bixby bridge because it is the scene of numerous automobile commercials.  Both bridges cross Bouey canyon that is named for John Bouey who built the Bixby bridge.
