While at York I bought a #707 O Scale Background Grocery Building Kit from Korber Models. I am happy to report that I have finished building the kit. This was my first Korber Kit but not my first kit building experience. While I could of used the included sign for the Wilson Grocery Company I made the kit my own by creating the Laurel & Hardy Manufacturing Company. A homage to my previous layout, the Lake Laurel & Hardyville, and to my love of the classic comedy duo. I added on a scratch built loading dock to the main door on the side of the building. Everything turned out great so it is only a matter of time before more Korber Kits find new homes on the North Western Railroad.

What do you think of it? Remember a model railroad is never finished so I plan to add more details as time goes by.

Nice work Trainwizard!   A couple of years ago I started adding building fronts along one wall of my layout.  Most are just the building front kits and a few were full building kits that I cut in half to make two fronts.  There is so much detail that can be added to these kits to make the buildings even more amazing.  Thanks Trainwizard for sharing what you have done.

Thank you Johnny! I enjoy sharing my work. I invite you to visit my website if you haven't yet.

Two sides of my Upper Level are against walls so I have lots of space for backdrop buildings. The next one I get I plan on turning into one of the old Wheeling & Lake Erie Cleveland, OH stations which looked more like a factory than a train station.
