The image appears to be the diecast version of the ES44AC.
If thats the case, the pilot is unique to this model.. Almost but not quite fixed..
If it is diecast, it'll be a high ticket item in the $700 range..

Just a guess, but I think the ES44ACs will be the first wave of NS Heritage locos, SD70ACe locos to follow.
It says new tooling on the shell on facebook.. Its a plastic shell i bet
Good Day,
I'm guessing there will be several different changes from the previous ES44AC's.
1. Head lights will be prototypically placed above the windows instead of the nose.
2. The new GPS system on the hood is entirely different which will be a noticeably different.

from the Lionel facebook page:
"Here's your first look at the catalog art for one of our new Norfolk Southern Heritage units! Note that while this is catalog art, you are looking at new tooling on the locomotive shell to better reflect the production changes that have taken place on the Norfolk Southern units as opposed to our earlier models. More details will come when the catalogs are released."

It looks like this model will appeal to the vast majority of market, which is the goal of a successful company.
I'm guessing these will be plastic around the $500 msrp price point. hoping for the Conrail in the first batch.
