UPDATE: WESTON Has LIGHTS!!! .....New photos and fun stuff!......3/15/18!!!!!

I\m calling the reworked Walthers brick store front complete. This started as a pre-built I got at close out from Hobby Lobby when they dumped their O scale stuff. Price tag was $12 but I think it was 40% off that....a DEAL!!!  I bought most of the O scale stuff when they closed it out.

The building has a wash of white, black and brown to color and weather it. Stock outside otherwise.  I did add a very basic interior and custom signage. Suits on display in windows a cheap figures cut up and painted. Window displays and counter etc were made from sheet stock. Street lamp is a modified Life Like unit. I altered the base and made it a scale 18" taller. Thx

I reworked all the street lights I will need for Weston today. These started out as Walthers Life Like O scale 'gas lamps'. I liked the design, exactly what I was looking for, but they seemed a bit short to me.  So I looked for a way to modify the lamps. I ended up making a new base for each lamp. This was made from a .030 sheet stock base and a scale 18" tube 3/8" in diameter. I cut all the parts needed and made a assembly line. I glued these bases to unaltered lamps. After they set up for 6-8 hours I use a nail trimmer to snip the original base off the lamp, finish off this area and paint the new base. Now I have the look and the size lamp I wanted.....and I like the '30 MPH' sign attached to each.  thx
