I told a friend I would fix his 675 that he got at auction. It looks OK but did not run. Needed brushes badly and was gunked up a bit. I also think the E unit solenoid was stuck but got that unstuck with some WD40. Oiled it up and it's running great. Feels good to fix one of the old timers. I believe it is a 1952 version, it has the newer eccentric cranks with the two protrusions. If you don't mount those correctly the side/valve rods will bind up big time.

Still learning after all these years.
