Hi Ed  - I have a Max Gray PRR C1 0-8-0.  In tests the flanges would bottom out slightly running through the Right-O-Way code 125 frogs used on my yard lead and engine terminal turnouts.  It wasn't severe enough to derail the locomotive - but wasn't as smooth as I wanted for switching moves.  The locomotive didn't have issues with code 148 frogs.  Before I installed DCC and sound  I arranged with Joe Foehrkolb to replace the MG gearbox with a NWSL .5 Mod ball bearing one and turn down the flanges on the number 1 and 4 drivers (2 and 3 are blind on C1's).
