I have seen people using the rubber drive belts for accessories on a Wilesco steam engine instead of the spring type. They can be cut to length and glued together with some sort of Permabond. Does anyone know where I can buy a length of this along with a splicer and glue. Maybe a kit of some sort?

From what I could find online it looks like the belts are made from 2mm or 2.5mm diameter nitrile rubber and sold in various lengths (see links here and here). You might be able to make custom belts with the material from a metric O-Ring splicing kit; the kit consists of various lengths of metric cord stock that can be cut and spliced to make custom O-rings. Most kits includes a blade to to cut the material and adhesive (usually super glue) to make the splice.

Hope this helps!
