i have a pair of MTH ps2 BN SD24's. When starting up, the number flicker on both units. They continue to flicker until I command them off and then on again after which they work perfectly until the engine is powered down again. Why would this be?

Wow. 8 days and not one suggestion as to what the problem is. Congratulations of stumping the panel of experts here. Wish I could help, but...alas.
I would try reloading sound file on one of them. See if that resolve it. Otherwise, send a note to MTH and see what they say. Unique issue, but interesting 2 engines have this problem. Are they run individually or in a lashup. G
It reminds me of the lighting bug that was happening in an older DCS release. Maybe 5.0?
By the description, I'd think it was an engine problem. By what I've seen in the past on my outdoor layout, I believe it's from the software.
What version of DCS are you using?
(if I may ask without getting blasted by a trolling big L fan for asking questions?)
Maybe that flickering number board issue was in DCS 4.0??
I can't remember which one.
