I picked up a 2 of the new VL challengers. One being Clinchfield. I wanted a caboose because you gotta have one right. Turns out only a few have been made between the various manufactures. I stumbled upon this old K-line offering on the Western depot website. Their website said they have 10 in stock. I thought surely this is a mistake turns out they have 10. I gave them a call, spoke with a fine gentlemen that got me one on the way the same day and for a great price for such a nice caboose. If your looking for one most certainly give them call. This is a smoking model with flashing rear marker. Very sharp. In my opinion much nicer than current offerings. I have included a picture and model # if interested. I’m not trying to be a western depot salesman but what’s better then when you find something cool and different and it’s affordable! Thanks for looking!

Just to let you know and say thanks for the information.
I ordered one of these and agree they are way more than I expected. Very nice.
I chase the Clinchfield stuff and it's a hard find.
This one will also go in the glass case.lol

These are incredibly nice. I'm doing a show this weekend and I'll get a pic with the new challenger. Makes you really miss K-line!
Jeremy,
Nice caboose, looks great. Just a word to the wise keep the smoke unit in the off position.

Jeremy - Yes beautiful caboose! K line certainly made some beauties for sure! To follow up on what JOHN B said .... do keep smoke unit in off position. I have two K line cabooses and once the smoke unit heats up the roofs begin to melt. Just want to pass along to you that bit of info. I know others folks who have had this same experience with K line cabooses too.

thank you! I have no intentions of using the smoke unit!
