My good friend Bill K. has told me about a really neat train store near Trenton NJ Airport. Trains & Things of Ewing, NJ. Visited there yesterday and was simply amazed at the selection of new and also many 'hard-to-find' Lionel and MTH trains/accessories. Literally floor to ceiling packed with trains in a nice clean and modern shopping center (and right next to a Sub Shop).

Right next to former Reading West Trenton Line (now CSX) with lots of train action too.

Hundreds of O-gauge trains were displayed on wall just like I remember from my childhood when I visited my local train store...Dobb's in Bayonne, NJ.

This is a true 'train guy' store. I came home with a Lionel NYC F-3 A-B-B-A set w/ tmcc etc. and a MTH Reading GP-30 w/PS-3 and 2 MTH Lackawanna 2-bay coal cars.

246 Scotch Rd, Ewing Township, NJ 08628    Phone: (609) 883-8790

Unknowingly, I had done business with them at York and Allentown but this was first store visit.

I will be back!

Owners name is Tony.

Tony opened Trains & Things back around 1992.  He has been is a few different shops in that shopping center, but the location hasn't moved more than a few yards since it opened.

I've been going there almost since the day he opened.  Whenever I feel the need for something, I always go there first.  His prices are good and I am VERY happy I have a local store less than 15 minutes from my house.  Tony and the entire staff are a pleasure to deal with.

I recommend anyone within driving distance of Trenton, NJ pay him a visit.  His store is literally less than 3 minutes off I-95.  And it never hurts to support a business like this.  National DCS Wifi day is coming up.  Maybe a good excuse for a visit...

Yup! I live in New Hope, PA and that's my main store. It's about 1/2 hour away.  Bonus is Tony's store is near the CSX line. So there's always a good chance there's a freight waiting or rolling by. Lot's of nice stuff displayed. All my transformers, locomotives, fastrack, buildings were bought there. I always enjoy going there. His daughter also works there. Father and daughter are great to do business with.

LUVTRAINS,

Yes that is what I wanted to know, the stinking spell checker posted differently than I typed, corrected the prior post, thanks.  Bummer in this manner I can not see pictures of his inventory to purchase from, maybe someday he will set up an on line store also.

If there is something you are specifically looking for, give him a call.  I know he ships but he doesn't have an online storefront.
