Sunday, June 18, at 3 AM begins Baltimore's "transformation of transit." The major re-structuring and re-branding of the MTA Baltimore Transit System becomes the Baltimore Link. There will be free rides for all for the period from June 18 to June 30, to let folks become accustomed to the new structure and plan their commute. While there are not major changes in Light Rail or Subway, this sign at Lutherville this morning seems to indicate rides on them are free as well. (Photo 1)

Here's your chance to railfan the system for free.

New maps and more information can be found here: http://baltimorelink.com/baltimorelink-system-maps

Most Light Rail cars still have the old livery. (Photo 2)

However, the new scheme, based on the colors of the Maryland Flag, is staring to appear. (Photo 3)

If you go, post your photos and experience!
