MTH SW-9 CSX Switcher on the Inglenook layout at Boy Scouts Merit Badge Class that I taught in 2016.  Time flies.  Can't believe it will be 2 years since my oldest son earned his Eagle Scout.

TGIFEF!   Here are ends of the front kind from the Free State Junction Railway.  

For this week's FEF, here are some photos of my Lionel E7.

Unfortunately, the Lionel version used a pointy E6 pilot not an E7 pilot.  I bought some E8 pilots and while it is easy to take off the pilots, the screw holes are entirely different.  Other than that it looks like a perfect fit.  I was going to glue the E8 pilot on but it needs to come off to get the shell off.  Still looking at a way to screw them on.

Gee Ron I have not noticed that before!  Guess I was so happy to get some E7's did not pay close attention.

BUT did notice the problem with the "high-water" non-powered B-units.

Our legacy A-units and the powered b-unit was built after Lionel fixed the high-water problem with the first Legacy NYC E7's.  But the PRR non-powered b-unit was built at the same time as the NYC units.

Fortunately I contacted Lionel just after Mike Reagan came on board.  He emailed me that he just came on board, saw the problem and would work the problem.  A couple of days later emailed me he had the fix and gave me options.  Took the option of being sent the new trucks and parts with replacement instructions.  AOK!

Ron, From where did you get the correct shaped E7 pilots and there part number?  Depending on the out come of my up and coming diagnostic testing my want to get a set a machine them to fit.

Cool shot Randy.  Was that shot from 2010 on an outdoor layout, or on a display diorama that you placed outside for the photo?  The angle and distance of the background trees makes it look like a real life 1:1 scale out in the country.

Here are some shots from my N Scale trains, taken at the South Florida Railway Museum layout in Deerfield Beach between 2014-2017.  Pardon the glare of some of the images as they were taken looking through a plexiglass screen.

The Amtrak set is mine (duh!).  Lovely looking Viewliners.  Thank goodness they are finally coming to the O Scale world, as I'm narrowing down my model train focus from HO- N- G- Z and only doing O.
