Warning to those contributing to this thread:

This is in the 3-rail forum so model pictures only...no mixing of prototype images...why you ask?  Because too many of you are using copyrighted images (assume any image you have taken from a book or photographer's website is copyrighted....even from Google searches, etc).  This is against the law (unless you took the original) and against OGR's Terms of Service.  STOP doing this or you will likely find yourself reaching deep into your pockets.

Those of you that have posted photos of real trains, please go back and replace them with a link to where you got them....

This is not open for discussion here.  You may disagree but do so on your behalf when they take you to court...see  how far you get....

    happy "FEF" everyone !

Marci just helped me go through 47 pages of photos,  deleting all my real train photos I found on the web...

I was getting photos using Google search to find photos I was looking for,  and just copying it to my desktop,  I thought not seeing a watermark or copyright on the photo, I was OK.   after speaking with Alan, he explained to me that I was wrong, and to consider all photos found on the internet copyright, and to look further to see where they came from...  I wish I would of known this prior to posting them...

have a great weekend everyone !    I will miss mixing model pictures with their prototype though !

Guys and Gals....as the new forum software is placing threads in what is considered more suitable categories, this is one that I see is going to be put in the photo album section.  I respectfully ask that you don't whine about it openly on the forum as happened on another thread...it is what it is as we make it easier for the moderators and folks that come to this forum to research....thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

                                       Happy "F E F" !!!

summer is ending,  and the days are getting shorter...

and now it is dark on my way to work...

have a great weekend everyone !!

Quarter Gauger 48. Thank you. I found that background on Google. I just wrote: Maine lake pics and found that.

Johan

Thanks very much'.. I will check it out'... What size did you print it out, it sure looks very good'...

I believe this is my first ever entry on this thread.

Photos of the "front"  of my Tri-Rail Cab Car stopping at the commuter station, and two shots of my New Jersey Transit ALP-44 ferrying its passengers along.  These shots were taken last weekend on my FCMTS club modular layout inside the store bay that we rent at a local mall.

Actually we're being kicked out for the next 3 months because it's the shopping season, when seasonal merchant$ come in and gobble up spots. We're relocating to one of the local libraries until January.

I'll get into all those details and create another thread when I finally get around to editing and posting the videos that I took.

New face in town!

eBay buy-it-now. The merchant said it isn't perfect (railing stanchions and such) but it's plenty good enough for me . No wear marks on the wheels or pickups. I think this beautiful smooth running SW was a shelf Queen. And boy are these Atlas O Sw8/9s smooooth runners.

I believe c. 1998? Does anyone know?

Happy, happy FEF, everyone!

Did you convert the two steamers up top to 2 rail?

Nope.  They're 3-Rail for good.  All I did was just rip out the center rail to see what it looked like and also for a photo op.  My story on that can be found at this thread: https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/...17#92376847239374017

I haven't posted here in a while because I did not have any front end photos.  So I took some of a few of my PRR K4s engines.

Original K4s engines were built between 1914-28, 425 total.

In 1936 the PRR, trying to compete with the NYC's streamlined engines, applied a full sheet metal shroud to one K4s engine which became the Torpedo.

DSC_0052

In 1940, the PRR applied a partial shroud to four K4s engines and these were referred to as the Streamlined K4s.  Some considered these as more visually appealing than the Torpedo.

DSC_0055

The K4s and Torpedo are Weaver engines that are upgraded with ERR and Gunrunnerjohn's chuff and smoke goodies installed by forum member Alex_M.  I just picked these up at York and hope to have videos soon of them double-headed pulling a heavy weight passenger train.

The K4s Streamline engine is a Williams model upgraded many years ago with PS-2.

Ted, wrt Plymouth lineage two things bother me: (1 the outboard wheel-bearings & suspension and (2 the full-height hood. Any Plymouth photo I've seen shows a lower hood.

Lew, take a look at this web site'.  There are many similar industrial locos.  Yours could possibly be English or Russian... Still reminds me of the Plymouth's from the early 40s....

Happy Front End Friday. I picked this up last weekend at the Great Scale show in Maryland. I’ve wanted one since I was a kid!

Love the BL-2. I have the same demo model. Now I've gotta get it out of the box and on the rails.
This one's nice too

Yes the demo BL-2 is a must have.  Although actually built as a BL-1.  But was modified to a BL-2 like the production models.
