I recently did a project and put LED lights in some of my O scale automobiles. I would like to offer my services to put LED headlights in your O scale automobiles for $10/car. All you have to do is send me the car, I will install the lights, and you just have to plug it in! The way I am powering my cars is through USB. I made an adapter board that takes 14-18 VAC and converts it to a safe voltage of 4VDC. This system will allow you to connect USB hubs to split the power into different channels, and will allow you to turn specific cars on and off. But the best part is that it’s all plug and go! No messy wiring or anything of the sort, just plug it into the adapter and you’re ready to go! I can also make them without the USB boards for an extra $2 for adding a resistor so the lights will not burn out when connected to your power source. Adapter boards are $13 and can power up to three cars. You can also use your phone charger to power these cars. Amber colored LEDs to give a more “old fashioned” feel are also available in lue of the white LEDs.
