Up for sale is the colorful and handsome Chicago & Alton Red Train set that Lionel MPC made in 1981. It includes the 8101 C&A Jr. Hudson with Magne-Traction, headlight, die cast boiler and tender with 6 wheel trucks. This engine has been upgraded with Electric Railroad Co. AC Commander and RailSounds power board with a RailSounds 5.0 sound chip from the American Flyer S Gauge Pacific. The headlight is the same bulb type, but I overhauled the smoke unit with a new resistor and wicking. Smokes really nice now. The smoke unit is also wired to the ERR commander for protection. All RailSounds functions perform when activated, and sound terrific. I'd put the engine a little under C8 Like-New condition, with minor cosmetic damage. All the 5 cars have 6 wheel die cast trucks, illumination, and operating couplers. They have almost to no cosmetic damage and all light up as should. These cars are some of the nicest Lionel ever did in the baby Madison series. Definitely a high C8 Like-New condition.

Also available is two Lionel space age operating cars:
The first is the 3470 target balloon launching car. It looks to be original, with some wear on the inside, but still in very solid shape with minimal scrapes. The box is a reproduction, as are the 3 balloons I'm packaging with it. Operates well.
The other one is the 16710 missile launching car, a 1995 reproduction of the original 3665 version. Definitely C8 Like-New condition. Box is a bit rough, but includes all packaging and papers. Missile firing works flawlessly.
