A close friend (fellow O Gauger) gave this to me for Xmas 2020. I didn’t get back on the GR until this spring. I’m almost ready to finally service and run it. I’ve been holding off because of a few reasons but now am quite close to where I want to be. I’ve never unboxed it. 🤤

I bet these are very impressive in G Scale. I gotta be honest, a garden railway is definitely appealing to me. But! One project at a time. I already got a monster that needs tamed in the basement.

The Bachmann Spectrum Series are top of the line and have accurate detail. A very nice loco! ENJOY!
I have the same model. It is very nice.
Some Climax owners have had issues with the exposed gearing, so be careful with the gear train and keep it clean and well lubed.
Motors are inside the trucks, the exposed gearing is just along for the ride.

They do make a nice engine (I have a few) the only issue you will have is the track must be clean. Since they do not use the LGB style pickup shoe track conditions are very important.
