Greetings all:

For all the GGD Amfleet owners, I am curious what radius track you all are using.  These cars are apparently rated for O54 curves, which seemed pretty optimistic when I unboxed them.  I was a little concerned running them at speed on my system's O63 ruling curves, but some slow speed tests did not reveal issues.  However, at any kind of speed, (say MTH 30smph or higher), derailments out of the curves are frequent.  Of course, I realize that scale Amfleets do not look that great on these tighter curves anyway; I would say O81 or better would yield the best performance and appearance.

Please note that I am not dissatisfied with these cars in the slightest; I would still have went for them even if I knew they would not run so well on my O63 curves.  I can still run them at switching speed, which is fine for now until I have a system with O81 or better.  I am only curious what others are running them on.  Thanks, all.

I would hope so otherwise you are S.O.L.! I highly doubt there is any close substitute.

Derailments coming out of a curve sound a trifle odd, generally when long cars don't like a particular curve radius around their limits they dend to derail going into it. Maybe the couplers are hanging up on something preventing them from swinging back to center?
