My point is, lots of Amtrak equipment retained skirts into the early 70s. Not an excuse for not offering Amtrak equipment with skirts. The above slumbercoach even made it to phase 2 paint with skirts.
I don't know (maybe Scott M and Bob H do), but there may not have been enough inquiries/orders for justifying Amtrak cars. I'd have to go back and read all the post to even see if Amtrak had been offered, I know the data was provided.
Besides, there may always be another run if enough folks make it known they're in the market to buy and let Scott know. I think the Sun-Lounge cars would sell well no matter what name was on the side.

Its hard to get sales on something you do not offer.
Wonder what changed since the Amtrak versions of ATSF high level cars, 4-4-2, 10-6, & Slumbercoaches were made in Amtrak?
I wish I could tell you, I lost all my emails between myself, BobH, and ScottM when I switched email accounts. I know the Amtrak cars were discussed, just don't recall the details or reasons for not doing them at this time.
2 months to Christmas, can't be long now before these ship. Maybe an early present from Santa Scott!!!
Latest from Scott is these will arrive in January 2019. HOWEVER....looks like there's some (pre?) production photos on their site now!!!:
Well I only ordered the extra PRR coach. I am almost paid off with it and I am debating on whether or not to get the extra PRR sleeping car. I still owe on the army comm, hospital, and surgical cars.... Plus the Heavyweights.
Unless GGD comes up with some more PRR cars, I will be done unless I get a hold of their 2008 PRR Broadway LTD sets.

In the projects you mention we had only 2 or 3 orders in Amtrak. Since then Amtrak has required us to sign a licensing agreement to do any more Amtrak painted cars or engines and pay a royalty for the privledge. In the process we are required to send samples for approval of paint color and decal design. Too much expense and effort for just a couple of orders. If anyone wants to paint and decal their own cars, we can offer cars undecorated. These are the reasons why we don't offer Amtrak schemes in these cars.
We are trying to get enough orders for the Amfleet cars. It's getting there, but still short of our expectations.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have checked their site regularly and I am in 3 rail. I have what they offer in three rail now. IF only Beth could convert the 2 rail to three rail.....

I've always found Scott very cooperative on doing paint schemes as long as you have enough to make it worthwhile as he runs a business not a charity. I've ordered Amfleet cars but may order more. I am looking at seeing if he will do the Northeast Regional Amtrak scheme. If you are interested in that paint scheme please let him know.
He is offering so many things I want it's hard to get them all....LOL. I have SCL cars coming and VGN EL-2Bs. Looking at the super domes, etc
According to the latest email from Scott, the Meteor is arriving February 10.
Wonder if they'll be on time??? How does GGD ship, UPS, FedEx, USPS???
