Hi everyone. My Lionchief Area 51 ET44 engine's horn broke off the roof of the shell. It definitely looks like it can be glued back on but I don't know what type of glue to use. The horn and the roof are a beautiful light green and I don't want to pick the wrong type of glue and damage the paint. Any suggestions on what to use? Thanks.

You can use regular CA glue and a brush-on type accelerator for the repair. Mask off the surrounding area so that any glue or accelerator does not get on the rest of the shell.

Use a toothpick to apply a small amount of glue to both the horn and the stump, push together and hold in place with one hand. Apply the accelerator to the area with the other hand and you should have an instant set and can release immediately. Give it an hour to set completely before running.

Make sure you have everything ready to go at the same time. You can also use a spray CA accelerant, but you have to be extra careful about masking off the surrounding area so none of it gets on the shell. It may not do anything to it, but better safe than sorry.
