Mel,

No marker lamps?

Correct, no marker lamps, should have them. Also when I spoke to Scott at York some eighteen plus months ago, he said they would be putting candles on the tables of this production of dining cars, did not happen.

At some point GGD needed to meet a price point for the cars. Add the missing lights yourself: adds to the fun.

Mel, like I said in my email to you, you can return your cars for any reason... I will refund the model price.

These cars are modeled after  PULLMAN designs used by many roads. Plastic productions are always like this. If you want a purely prototypical car, you could find a Precision Scale one for about $600, unpainted in 2R, then you will have to convert it to 3 Rail.

I did find some photos of the New Haven Flying Cloud and the rear wall is clearly flush with the rear ends of the side walls. I have never seen a Pullman heavyweight observation car with the rear wall in this position. Moreover, the insides of the side walls are unfinished and the glue is visible on the insides of the windows. Take a close look at my picture.

UH did you purchase one ?  why all the hype  I have precision scale models I will sell you for 900.00 Big difference.

Will be awesome for these cars with the latest schemes IVb and the heritage scheme.  For the Long Distance trains in the midwest I need several of those viewliner heritage baggage cars.  Would also get some viewliners if they are the latest scheme as well as the amfleets as those will mix in with the horizon cars on the shorter distance trains.

Viewliner car set should include the newly added Baggage / Dorm car.

Nice! All Amtrak needs is a coach car and you have a "new century"Amtrak train. But for discussion, if the American View was done along with the baggage, baggage/dorm, diner, sleeping car, and the Amfleet coaches that would be a great train!

First and most recent.  Heavyweight baggage car on the left is from Jerry Williams' first five car set which led the market in 'scale length' passenger cars.  Car on right is the latest offering from GGD.  Neither are lighted.

I ordered one Santa Fe and one T&P heavyweight baggage car from Beth.  The SF was listed as Santa Fe Green and I was hoping for the best. Pass 1-1 and 2

And I got it.  Coupled between a 3rd Rail 12-1 and a GGD SF/REA 54' express reefer, the Santa Fe Green heavyweight REA baggage car looks good to me.  John in Lansing, ILL
