Steve,

Been there, done that, you'll be fine.  However, you'll never make it through a TSA metal detector, again, without your papers being in order.  That reminds me of an old Cheech 'n' Chong routine, best saved for another day when you're in a better humor...

Prayers ascend,

Sam and his faithful sidekick Tank

The notice posted on Steve's website yesterday indicated that he had fallen and broken his leg and ankle.

Best wishes Steve for a successful surgery and that you have a speedy and complete recovery.

Well at least Mr.Muffin didn't post," I've fallen and I can't get up!" [it could have been worse if someone filmed it and posted it on facebook!]

Good luck Mr. Muffin and God bless you with a speedy recovery and full healment of your injuries.

Thank you, one and all, for this. I was surprised to see it here and touched. Jeff and I were on a Harley trip for a few days, and I dropped my Harley pulling onto the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC. My left foot got trapped under the bike as I went down. Everyone was terrific attending to me and my injury, and MrsMuffin flew down there with one of our trucks and trailer and she and Jeff hauled us home. Really glad that Jeff and I are insistent on wearing our helmets. It’ll take awhile, but I should recover just fine. Thank you so much.

We're wishing you a speedy recovery Mr. Muffin!

My wife and I were riding up to Michigan thru Indiana a few years ago on our BMWs when I had a mishap. In northern Indiana a construction company spread a large area of sand several inches deep on a street. As I turned left into the street not seeing that that was smoothed over loose sand, the rear wheel went out at about 3 mph and my left foot got swept off the peg with the sort of deep sand. The rear bag was wide enough to trap my foot. Both bones broken at the ankle, but I was in the hospital in Michigan City in about an hour or two having surgery. Home to Illinois the next day. I had the typical BMW "all the gear on all the time" so no other issues. Walking in about 6 weeks.

Six weeks would be good. Thanks.

Thank you, yes, could’ve been definitely worse.

Do what those in charge say, or at least attempt to do as they say.   Been 12 years since hip replacement, a few hrs. after surgery they had me vertical.  Legs, blood clots can be a big problem. Even when I went home a few days after surgery, there was an anti-coagulant, (Lovenox) I had to self-inject.  Best wishes Mike CT
