Do what those in charge say, or at least attempt to do as they say.   Been 12 years since hip replacement, a few hrs. after surgery they had me vertical.  Legs, blood clots can be a big problem. Even when I went home a few days after surgery, there was an anti-coagulant, (Lovenox) I had to self-inject.  Best wishes Mike CT

I've been away from the forum for a while. Sorry about your accident, Steve. Glad to hear the surgery went well. All the best with any followup and physical therapy you may need. I'm keeping you in my prayers for a speedy recovery. BTW, my wife broke her foot and a vertebra in her lower back--in two separate incidents, a number of years ago--and she can still "tell the weather" in the affected bones. I suspect there'll be some amateur meteorology in your future, too.
