Got to visit our New Menard's in WV Tue.....

I was in our local Menards yesterday. They had buildings but not near all of them, and track but very few freight cars. I passed on the only one Tide tanker, wished now that I had bought it. The water tower is really a nice peice @ $39.95.

It was a good news bad news visit. I don't think the Christmas stock was in yet. They did not have a lot of buildings....and they one had 3 freight cars. Two of them were flats with military loads. The only other was a TP&W box car which I picked up. A nice different car and a unreal deal at $20!   I do not like the yellow roof walk but at the price I'll wash it in black and it will be great.

I hope the low stock means they are selling out fast.....they had LOTS of room for items. One items I saw and almost picked up was the HO scale water tank. Looks like it would be PERFECT for On30 branch line....very well done!!

Dave i was in the store before they opened as I am a vendor and they didn’t have much to begin with.   I’m in there 3 times a week so far and it’s been about the same.  

But can you have train product ordered on the net sent there?

Wish Menards was in Houston.  But guess you do not have the supply chain for that...

Was there the day they open a had almost all the building stock bought new FedEx building They will restock just like all there other stores ,Mernards online has always been good. Order on Wed Here on Fi or Sat.

I know I can go direct....did for a number of items.

I just like to see it, hold it and skip handling and shipping!!!

I don't know if you've seen the spoiler alert thread, but it gives a little insight.

The new selection of rolling stock (which should have been here early October) is running late. As soon as it arrives, we will send some out to stock the store shelves. Fingers crossed they get here soon!

I stopped at the WV Menard's on Saturday.  The train section was small but the Christmas stuff was everywhere adjacent to it.  I think before I stop again I would need something specific.  There is just too much stuff jammed in there.  It could be dangerous to my wallet.
