I sent a message to Steve at Ross. He replied that their track needed to be supported by either plywood or foam.

I just picked up the K-Line graduated trestle set so I’ll probably use 1/4 Inch plywood on the trestles and install the track to the plywood. The trestles are brown plastic and have a flat surface so that should work.

I am having my first experience with Ross track and wanted to add some interest with some grades. I purchased a Woodland Scenics (foam) Incline/Decline product. I have not used it yet, but I am impressed with the design and feel confident that it will work fine with my Ross track. One caution, I thought the box labeling was confusing and it led to me getting home with a set that was either an incline or decline (depending how you want to look at it). I need to go back and get more so I can get the track back down to level ground!
