Trying to resurrect prior interest in model railroading (first post). I began gathering GTW parts for a layout 20 years ago. One structure I haven't gotten around to building is/was the coaling tower found at CN's Pontiac yard. I would like to bash this rather than scratch build but that may prove difficult to the in-availability of coal towers these days.
Has anyone here scratch-build this structure?

Is this Pontiac coaling tower the GTO or just the Tempest?

I thought it was a "Formula" for a "Firebird" the question is was there two or a single track going underneath the tower. Single, you could modify a Lionel kit but that round hopper looks bigger than what is supplied in the kit. Best you scratchbuilders with wood, spackle and pvc pipe
Look at Norm Charbonneau's work. His is similar, but maybe not the same. Look in the Scenery Sourcelist near the bottom.
