Thanks for bringing this up again Jay, the news was posted here about 2-3 weeks ago, but I think it is worth keeping this active to let people know that we are without this show until next year.

Thanks for the update, Jay! Since I travel to Addison and/or Naperville twice a year...your heads up is appreciated!
Well just visited their site (trainshow.com) today and saw they actually laid off their staff and pushed it out to 2022! They always had a fall show near me every year. Was really looking forward to taking my son this past fall as I finally built our first layout. By the time the show comes again in fall 2022, three years will have passed between shows, thats missing a lot of my sons years when he's most excited to go. Hope the show staff takes care and knows they are missed. I'm 2 hrs out from Mr. Muffins trains, so might make the drive there in lieu of the show.

Its says: Our current expectation is to resume operations of the Great Train Shows, Greenberg Train and Toy shows, and Great Midwest Train Show in the Summer of 2021. We plan to resume the World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour shows in 2022.
In other words. "The Great Midwest Train Show at Dupage County Fairgrounds" is expect to resume this summer 2021.
The "Worlds greatest Hobby On Tour" Shows won't resume until 2022. This show is only in Illinois once every few years anyway.
My mistake, thanks for the clarification. Any chance has a date been set for the Fort Wayne show?
Illinois is about to allow restaurants to reopen within certain regions not counties or cities.
Earlier this week, Gov. J.B. Pritzker said if a region of the state has a COVID-19 test positivity rate below 12 percent, greater than 20 percent hospital capacity, and a decline of COVID-19 patients in the hospital, all over three days, they may be able to relax restrictions beginning Friday.
WTF is a region??
The state has been under Phase 4 Tier 3 mitigation since Nov. 20, which prohibits indoor dining and bar service, and caps non-grocery retail to 25 percent capacity. Even in Phase 4 Tier 2, and Phase 4 Tier 1, indoor service at bars and restaurants is prohibited per the governor’s plan.
WTF is a Phase 4 Tier 3 or 2 or 1? Are train shows a Phase 5.

I do miss DuPage... Some of the unusual finds, the people...
I will pass on the crop dusting though.
I'm sorry to read that about furloughed staff, etc. Our "local show" (DuPage/Wheaton/Great Midwest) may come back later this year...I certainly hope so. Illinois is just starting vaccinations for the 1a group of people, but we are in group 1b (over 65 and essential workers), and they can't tell us when we might get vaccinated. Point being, I will wait for the jab before going to DuPage.
AS to "regions", here is the IL map. I believe that DuPage is in Region 8.
