its been too long since I ran the old e-buz engines! since early 90's the conventional fleet has been idle collecting dust so today was the day to get them out and enjoy a time of long ago.

I started off with a 624 C&O diesel switcher then a 2046 steam engine and finally a 736 steamer.  all I did was wash the bodies and tenders and oiled greased accordingly never touched the e-units and without a hitch they all ran as they did when originally were made oh so long ago.

I enjoy the new  tmcc mth dcs legacy vision line with all the whistle and bells made with smoke units and bells and whistle smoke they have a place as well but!

for some reason they do not have that same fond memories of days long since past for me. but I wonder if the younger folks when they reach senior citizen age will the newer items of today have that same fond nostalgia that those of us growing up in the 1940's and 50's have of our trains from that era?

and the one 736 has the old pill smoke unit took all of 5 seconds and it was smoking these truly were a work of art and a monument to that time of manufacturing these toy trains.

my gosh Woodrow its been a heck of a party today!!  when is last time some have enjoyed the conventional days of what seems only a blink ago.

hope all has an enjoyable day running trains that make them smile.
