This is the thrice yearly Greenberg show held in the Monroeville Expo Center.  I usually attend the Fall and Winter shows.  Last time I attended this one, I did get some bargains.  It's hit and miss though, since not all the big vendors show up and many of the smaller ones are on vacation.  From Cleveland, it would be a straight shot via the turnpikes to get to Monroeville so yes, you have taken four or more hours on Sat or Sun just to get there and back and you would only spend two or three hours at the show.  If you are need of a 'train fix' this might do the job.

I wouldn't drive 2 hours each way just for this show, unless in dire need of a train fix.  Now if you combined it with some other area activities, like a visit to the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh (to see the Miniature Railroad and Village), or some other area attraction (and there are lots of things to see and do in the area), then it would be worth the trip.

pretty much why i gave up selling at pubic shows. people would stop in front of my table to gab about whatever, any buyers  could not get near the table. you pay $25 and see how much you like it.

i went to monroeville about 8 years ago ......a bunch of retail dealers with retail prices....yuck.-jim

And after he tours the CSC, our friend from Cleveland could walk over to Heinz Field and tour the Steelers exhibit!
