Just wondering if anyone as place their atlas autoracks on 0-36 to see if the cars clear themselves.
I know they have adjustable diaphragms to allow them to 0-42 but I didn't know if they would bind or if there was enough clearance to make 0-36 possible.

If a manufacturer certifies that a car will work with O42 track, they are saying that it will work with O42 turnouts and O42 "S" curves. But if you want to know what you can get away with, well... you can probably get away with a smaller radius than what the manufacturer certifies. But that might not be the important issue. What you "can" do is not necessarily going to look good. For me, if a manufacturer certifies that a car will work with O42 track, I would prefer to use a smaller car or a larger radius just to give a better appearance.
IMO 036 is pushing it with the Atlas articulated auto racks, especially with 036 Fastrack switches. But as mentioned before, it might work.
