Height of MTH Crossing Gate Arms? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I need a favor from any of you that have the MTH Crossing Gate (30-11012) on your layouts. Could you let me know the overall height of the device when the crossing arms are raised? It would be from the bottom of the base to the top of the raised gate arm. On my yet to be completed ceiling layout, I'm considering placing one on the inside edge (the side that is open to below) and want to make sure that it can fit in the space that I have between track and ceiling. I would normally go to my LHS (Ready to Roll Trains) to figure this out, but under current circumstances, that is not possible.

Here ya go. I have a couple at 5 3/4”. Depends on the limit switch.

Looks like it will be a perfect fit. clapping I have an 8-inch clearance between the "ground" and the ceiling.

You’re welcome. That is with the short arm. You could even use the longer one. 👍

The gates can be elongated with the twist of a screw to extend them.
