You really have only two choices for a "silver" SEPTA subway:

 

1) Buy an Atlas Comet commuter car- preferably a cab version- and kit bash into a Kawasaki Broad Street subway car.  Takes a little work, but not too bad.  Of course, it will be unpowered.

 

2) Contact Joe Upton at Island Modelworks and get on the list for Market-Frankford Almond Joys.  Once he gets a minimum commitment, he'll run a set.
