Thank you for your help on my previous post about my derailing problems with my heavyweight passenger cars.

I just received my new American Flyer CNW stockcar and it also is derailing like crazy on the same curves and switches that the heavyweights derailed upon.  Surprise, Surprise, Surprise (https://youtu.be/2TnkJ8_BmSI),  the wheel sets are wildly out of gauge (as they were on the heavyweights) but this time the gauge on all the wheelsets is too wide (by almost 0.3cm)

My new problem is that the wheelsets are very hard to regauge narrower (unlike original Gilbert wheelsets on which the wheels can be re-positioned  with finger pressure).  Is there an easy way to narrow the gauge?  The problem is compounded by the fact that it is very difficult to remove the wheelsets from trucks, (unlike with original Gilbert trucks, which allow easy removal).

The wide wheelset gauge on newer A/F rolling stock is to allow pass through 45 degree and 90 degree Fasttrack crossovers. The narrower wheelset gauge will not pass through.

How very interesting.

I wrote to Lionel Service about my problem.

They responded "Could you please provide us with a detailed photo of your stockcar on the track?"  I am mystified as to how that will possibly be helpful.
