I have the N&W Lionmaster Class A 6-38049 from 2004 catalog with TMCC.  It was running fine, then one day it stopped moving,  still has sound and lights, but will not move in tmcc and conventional modes. I have tried the reset option with no change.  I also have removed the shell and manually turned each motor to insure there was no mechanical binding.

It will respond to the startup and shutdown commands, crewtalk, directional lighting and will even give one initial choof sound when given the forward command, but will not budge.

With the parts sale this weekend, I would like to take advantage of the discount, if I need replacement parts.  I currently have the I.R transmitter, R2LC motherboard, and R2LC radio receiver in my shopping cart.

I am not confident I am heading in the right direction or completely missing the probable cause of my problem.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for the guidance on how to go about fixing this issue.  I will follow your recommendations and report back what I find. I did pick up a R2LC in the sale just in case. Have several tmcc engines anyway.  Also picked up a pair of siderods for the LC+2 dockside switcher that waddles down the track.

I recently experienced odd behavior and very similar symptoms with my Lionmaster A. Turned out that weak batteries in the CAB1 were the cause so check those too.

Still not a bad idea to stock up on various electronics while they are available, especially if you really like the engine.
