I just bought this engine sealed in the box.I gave it a lube and greasing and put it on the track. It didn’t make 2’ before it stalled. Got it running but not at any low speeds and exterior lights blinking and trying to stall all over the layout. I have a SW7 that I can crawl any where on the track without stalling along with several other legacy engines we run. I have cleaned the wheels and pick ups even tho brand new and it doesn’t seem to help. I have a few TMC that we run that won’t run slow as they stall but I thought that was just the way they were set up. Lastly it seems as my fast gets very dirty quickly. A lot of black when I can the track. We use alcohol and a Mr. clean eraser and then wipe again with a clean towel. We are cleaning the track once a week and sometimes more as dead spots arise. But the stalling seems to be getting worse.

1. What track and transformer ?

2. Command, conventional or Bluetooth operation ?

3. Have you checked voltage around the layout with a meter to insure you are getting correct and consistent power all around the layout ?

Fast track

transformers are 2- ZW 275 watts

all command Legacy

18 volts at the transformer and at the farthest track @ 40’ is 17.8 volts. I have track taps approx every 6-8’
