I just got a realtrax O42 switch (Brand New) from my local hobby shop maybe a week ago. I put it in today, and it switch just fine from red to green, but then the controller lights go dim and it will not switch back. If I manually turn the machine, it will turn from red to green again, but never back.
Please Help!

-be sure there is a gap in the frog rails and adjoining tracks.
-disconnect the controller and jump the center terminal to the one to the right and then the center terminal to the one on the far right. See if the switch operates correctly.
-try another switch machine.
-remove baseplate and inspect wiring.

Not only did I have the green and black wires crossed, the plastic bar jumped off one of the actuators in the switch machine. I am good to go.
