hi cubes which are the tallest?????

From memory it looks like the ATLAS O Master Series Berwick Hy-Cube 60' Box Cars are the tallest.

I wondered how tall the 'railking" high cube boxcar is from the top of the rail to the top of the roof of the boxcar,anyone know?

Tiffany, according to the MTH website overall they are 3 17/16" high. To me, that equates to 4 1/16". Strange. So on the rail it should be a little less than that (less the height between the bottom of the wheel flange and the wheel tread).

doesn't that seem bit tall for a railking freight car as i thought they were little bit smaller that "O" scale (1:48) ?

I just measured mine and from the rail is 3-15/16". They are quite a bit smaller than scale but remember,these are high cubes so they will be taller than regular cars. I have the Southern version and it is one of the best looking Railking cars I have seen. I have read that they were originally built to be able to stack three appliance boxes high,but I believe that most are now used in paper service(carrying the large rolls of paper that newspapers are printed on).
